5th August - Ko Rok to Phi Phi

Today we had our best sailing conditions to date.  Much more agreeable winds meant a day of happily sitting on 8knots on the way to Phi Phi island.  The anchorage there is absolutely spectacular with a awesome towering cliffs providing great shelter in the bay.  After picking up a mooring and a quick swim we took the dingy ashore and walked around the island, checking out the markets. There a hundreds of stalls selling everything from fresh seafood, local food, dvds, dive trips and fake Rolex watches.  Returned to Blue Lagoon after some lunch and was surprised to find even 200m off land we could get wifi internet reception.  Seems on of the local providers at the hotel offers 30mins free trial, turns out though we were online all evening which was a bonus as it allowed us to catch up on email and post a blog update or 2.  Also seem to now have the Iridium working after multiple charge/discharge cycles but will still pick up a spare battery in Phuket.
